Excuse me while I shout it from the roof tops and mountain tops….
I LOVE MY SELF-CARE PLANNER!!!
Okay, now we can begin.
I created my Self-Care Planner as part of Camp Reset from The Reset Girl back in July 2017. The camp, in a nutshell, was all about resetting your life and looking at how you treat yourself in a new way. One of the first activities was to set up a Selfie Planner, as it was termed in camp. At first, I was a little overwhelmed with making a new planner for only one core category, but I never let a challenge go by the wayside. I jumped right in.
Fast forward to today.
I still use this planner. Daily. It is my go-to during meditations, during deep reflective journaling, for keeping track of self-care routines. Really anything that revolves around self-care and self-love and the betterment of my whole self lives in this planner.
A bit about her (the planner, of course): She is an A5 planner from Carpe Diem Planners in Blush. The dividers and journal card I created from scratch using a paper pad I fell in love with at my local craft store.
I love having a planner that puts me first, and allows me to put self-care first. It gives me a reason to sit down daily and jot down a note or list out some books I should/want to read. I love that if I need some ideas, or if I come across some good quotes that are inspirational, I have a place to collect them outside of my other daily/functional planners. Most of all I love how personal this planner is. It’s a planner that holds some of my most personal thoughts, dreams, aspirations, intentions. It keeps me accountable in my spiritual journey, and in my journey to embrace self-love.
Learning that self-care and self-love is not selfish was one of the first lessons I learned, and it was a challenging one. We all lead busy lives, juggling work, life, kids, hobbies, husbands/partners/significant others. Taking the time to care for yourself amidst that juggling game is no selfish, it’s necessary. That is the reason this planner exists.
Let’s be honest. If I were to pick any of my planners to take with me into a warm bubble bath for some deep, self-reflection, it would be this one.
If you don’t have a dedicated spot for your self-care needs and goals, I HIGHLY SUGGEST you get one. It could be a planner like mine, or it can be a journal, traveler’s notebook, binder with some extra pages thrown in. I promise you won’t regret making and having one.
Be sure to catch my self-care planner flip through on my YouTube channel to see an in-depth look at what lives inside.
Now go! Go get yourself a self-care planner/binder/notebook – anything! YOU ARE SO WORTH IT, AND YOU DESERVE IT!
I hope you enjoyed this post, and found it helpful and inspirational! Have a great year and happy planning!
