I am so excited to be diving into the world of Traveler’s Notebooks!
I picked up my very first TN from the Carpe Diem Planners booth at Pinners Conference, but I had no idea what to use it for or how to even begin. So, I did as most people do, and I took to social media and YouTube to peruse how others use their TNs.
I’ll be honest, it was totally overwhelming at first!
I reached out to my IG followers for suggestions on where to begin, and it was recommended that I look into Layle Koncar’s Layle by Mail. If you don’t know who Layle Koncar is, she is the Marketing Director for Simple Stories/Carpe Diem Planners. Layle offers a bi-monthly TN kit that you can order, and it comes with materials and supplies to decorate and create a gorgeous setup for two months. It is really a steal of a deal since it only costs about $20 plus S+H (USD). You can go check out all the details here. I opted in, and soon received my materials.
The kit included the Happy Easter 12″ x 12″ Simple Set from Simple Stories and pieces from the new I Am collection. I opted to use the I Am collection pieces for my March setup, and I dug right in!
I had so much fun putting it all together – filling in my pockets and making slipcovers for my booklet inserts!
I even branched out to create two additional covers for inserts that were decorated in theme. I love how creative I could be, and i love how it brought out the scrapbooker in me again!
You can watch the process video for how I put this all together below. It’s definitely worth checking out! If you want a creative challenge/project to complete, I would highly recommend this.
The other great thing about TN’s is how versatile they are. You can make them as minimalistic or as extravagant as you wish. You do you!
